Barris Facts:

• The Drag-u-la was built using a real fiberglass coffin sold by a Hollywood funeral home!
• The original car spent years suspended from the ceiling at Planet Hollywood in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
• The exhaust pipes on the DRAG-U-LA are actual Zoomie organ pipes!.

Barris Kustom
Like the famous Barris Koach, the DRAG-U-LA was purpose-built for Universal Studios by George Barris. It's dark and incredible creativity started with the well-known designer, Tom Daniel, while working for George Barris in 1966. The car was basically a 350hp rolling coffin; a menacing thought to anyone who dared get behind the wheel! It featured a 289ci Ford Mustang V-8 engine, a four-speed stick shift, two four-barrel carbs mounted on a Mickey Thompson Ram-Thrust manifold, all feeding an organ-pipe exhaust loud enough to wake the dead.
