The Chevelle® was one of the most popular and successful brands in the Chevrolet® lineup. The 1969 model had minimal styling changes from the previous 1968 model, including the completely revamped front grille and bumpers. Differing from the base model Chevelle®, the SS™ 396 was an optional upgrade, a L78 big-block V8 motor, 375 hp and launched this hefty 3700 lb. car from 0-60 in 6.5 seconds!The 396 engine was first introduced by Chevrolet® in 1965. As a tribute to the 50th anniversary of this iconic powerplant, Auto World has faithfully replicated this 1969 Chevelle® SS™ 396 in Fathom Green poly with a contrasting black and white interior. Under the hood, you’ll find the L78 396 Turbo Jet 375 hp big-block wearing the flagged air cleaner like a chrome halo.
